At The Sea View Trust, our School Improvement Services are built on a foundation of proven excellence and a deep-seated commitment to every learner’s success. While we take great pride in supporting our own academies, we are delighted to offer our expertise to external schools and settings seeking high-impact guidance. As a Trust widely recognized for our gold-standard SEND provision and Inclusion, and as a designated Behaviour Hub, we provide peer-led support that is both practical and visionary.

Our reputation is anchored in a long history of national collaboration with the Department for Education (DfE). We have been at the forefront of shaping the inclusive landscape, from our partnership on the SEND Development Pathways for the School Workforce (2022) in collaboration with Whole School SEND, to our most recent work on the DfE Inclusion Exchange Project: An Enhanced Inclusion Audit Framework (March 2026). By choosing The Sea View Trust, leadership teams can be fully reassured they are partnering with a reputable, knowledgeable, and thriving MAT that turns national policy into local, life-changing classroom practice.

What is a SEND Review?

  • Quality of provision and graduated response
  • Use of data and pupil outcomes
  • Inclusion, behaviour and wellbeing
  • Staff confidence, training and capacity
  • Use and impact of resources and funding
  • Partnership with parents, carers and external agencies

Testimonials

“A really productive day, with exactly the right balance of professional challenge and support in a process that we were genuinely part of and not ‘done to’. I would wholeheartedly recommend the SEND audit that acknowledges the good practice that exists but makes practical recommendations on how to further strengthen your provision” Andrew Williams, Headteacher of the Rhyddings

“The pre-audit documents really helped us to prepare thoroughly and consider all aspects of our provision.  The auditors were extremely supportive throughout the day and offered us great tips and advice on how to improve the provision for our students. The final report gave us some really useful recommendations that we have implemented to improve the provision for our students.” Marcus Philpott, Assistant Vice Principal of the Co-op Academy Leeds

“A professional, understanding and knowledgeable review that understood and appreciated our unique circumstances. We felt in safe hands all the way through the process that was done with us, and not to us." Samantha Haydock, Head of School of The Hollins

"We found our recent SEND review with the Sea View Trust an incredibly useful process for us. The balance of challenge and support throughout was excellent, and has given us a strong platform on which to take our next steps." Martin Blacoe, Principal of Co-op Academy Priesthorpe

“The SEND review was robust and led by expert practitioners of SEND. The feedback was extremely thorough and meaningful and gave very clear action points for improvement.”  Joshua Hawkhead, SEND Coordinator & Specialist Leader of Education of Co-op Academy Grange

Learning Environment Review

What is a Learning Environment Review?

A Learning Environment Review is a structured evaluation of how your school’s physical spaces and learning culture support teaching, learning, inclusion and wellbeing.
